Welcome
Welcome
Hi! I’m Jan S. Krause, a postdoctoral researcher and Deputy Head of the Global Cooperation and Social Cohesion group at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
I work in behavioral and experimental economics / finance, with a focus on risk, time, and social preferences. Using theoretical modeling alongside lab and online experiments, I investigate how individuals and groups make decisions, including the role of cognitive factors in shaping economic behavior.
My work explores how individual and group decisions contribute to global challenges such as climate change, social cohesion, migration, and financial stability.
